Who is behind this site

tromsosnowmobiles.com is run by Patrick Kühne, an independent travel publisher based in Markkleeberg near Leipzig, Germany. He builds and maintains a small portfolio of guides to attraction tickets and day tours. There is no agency and no rotating editorial team behind this site: the pages are researched, written and kept up to date by one person, the same one who answers the e-mails.

What this site does

Snowmobile safaris from Tromsø differ in ways the tour pages rarely spell out: which of the two areas they ride in (Camp Tamok or the Lyngen Alps), how long the bus transfer takes versus how long you actually sit on the snowmobile, if you ride in daylight or in the dark, on petrol or electric. We put those numbers side by side for every bookable tour, including the numbers operators mention less loudly, such as the fact that a "7-hour tour" involves 45 minutes to 2.5 hours of riding. We are not a booking agent: every reservation happens on the booking platform.

How we earn money

When you book through one of our links, the provider pays us a commission. Your price stays exactly the same: the commission comes out of the provider's margin, not your pocket. No contract obliges us to favour a particular operator, and our comparisons are ordered by what suits the trip, not by what pays us best.
