Season reality check

Both camps depend on snow, and the season starts in mid-December — that is when the snow cover at Camp Tamok is normally ready. It runs to late March or early April, with the most reliable conditions from January to mid-March. Travelling in November or early December? Snowmobiling is usually not running yet — huskies, reindeer and other Arctic experiences are the better plan for those weeks (links in the footer).

Getting cold is the other honest bit
